Mildred Newsome, 69, of Busy, KY, formerly of Fallsburg, went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2025 surrounded by her family. Mildred was born March 17, 1956 to the late B.W. and Ellen (Stratton) Maynard.
Mildred was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a member of Lothair Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Michael Dean Newsome and sisters Audrey Maynard and Betty Lou Maynard.
Survivors include her husband Franklin Newsome; daughters Pamela (Bill) Gwen and Natasha (Floyd) Eversole; grandchildren Stephanie (James) Crowe, Brittani (Brandon) Napier, Cheyenne (Brad) Wells, Isaiah (Brittany) Stewart, Zander Stewart, and Maggie Eversole; great grandchildren Scarlett Crowe, Maci Crowe, Bryce Crowe, Axl Kermicle, Athen Kermicle, Masyn Wells, Kynleigh Wells, Copeland Stewart, and Wynter Stewart; brother Don Maynard; and Bonnie Douglas, Fonnie Elliott, Ruth Fissler, and Melinda Christian.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Larry Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery in Fallsburg.
Friends may visit the family Friday, December 5, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home and Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 12:00 PM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Newsome and her family.
