METH OFFENSES FILL GRAND JURY INDICTMENTS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY, KY

A Lawrence County Grand Jury met on July 11, 2024 and issued the following criminal indictments:

Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Joey N. Dickerson

The Grand Jury charges: that on or about January 21, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Joey N. Dickerson committed the offense of Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration by knowingly and unlawfully failing to register new address with the appropriate local probation and parole office as stated in the provisions of KRS 17.510, while having a previous convictions of this offense Jefferson Circuit Court 21-CR-001278.

Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Richard Church

The Grand Jury charges: that on or about May 16, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Richard Church committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

2. The above-named Defendant committed the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of an altered pipe containing chemical residue.

3. The above-named Defendant committed the offense of Possession of Marijuana by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Marijuana.

4. The above-named Defendant committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Five (5) halved Gabapentin pills, a Schedule IV controlled substance.

5. The above-named Defendant committed the offense of Prescription of a Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Gabapentin, a schedule IV-controlled substance not in the properly administered container.

Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Robert Shenett

The Grand Jury charges: that on or about March 12, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Robert Shenett acting alone or in complicity with Corielynne Ervin committed the offense of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree > 2 Grams Methamphetamine by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Methamphetamine, with the intent of trafficking in that controlled substance, or by Trafficking in Methamphetamine, namely approximately 26.99 grams of Methamphetamine.

2. That the Defendant, having been charged in the instant indictment with the above stated felony count, is now being charged as a Persistent Felony Offender, in the 1st Degree.

Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Robert Shenett

The Grand Jury charges: that on or about February 22, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Robert Shenett committed the offense of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree > 2 Grams Methamphetamine by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Methamphetamine, with the intent of trafficking in that controlled substance, or by Trafficking in Methamphetamine, namely approximately 28.8 grams of Methamphetamine.

2. That the Defendant, having been charged in the instant indictment with the above stated felony count, is now being charged as a Persistent Felony Offender, in the 1st Degree.

Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Robert Shenett

The Grand Jury charges: that on or about February 13, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Robert Shenett acting alone or in complicity with Corielynne Ervin committed the offense of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree > 2 Grams Methamphetamine by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Methamphetamine, with the intent of trafficking in that controlled substance, or by Trafficking in Methamphetamine, namely approximately 3.270 grams of Methamphetamine.

2. That the Defendant, having been charged in the instant indictment with the above stated felony count, is now being charged as a Persistent Felony Offender, in the 1st Degree.

Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Brian Carter

The Grand Jury charges: that on or about April 25, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Brian Carter committed the offense of Bail Jumping in the 1st Degree by knowingly and unlawfully having been released from custody by the court, with or without bail, upon condition that he or she will subsequently appear at a specific time and place in connection with Lawrence County felony charge, 23-CR-00044, he or she failed to appear that the time and place as ordered by the court, namely a Report hearing.

Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Paul Chaffin

The Grand Jury charges: that on or about April 25, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Paul Chaffin committed the offense of Bail Jumping in the 1st Degree by knowingly and unlawfully having been released from custody by the court, with or without bail, upon condition that he or she will subsequently appear at a specific time and place in connection with Lawrence County felony charge, 23-CR-00013, he or she failed to appear that the time and place as ordered by the court, namely a Report hearing.

Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. James Mollett

The Grand Jury charges: that on or about April 25, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. James Mollett committed the offense of Bail Jumping in the 1st Degree by knowingly and unlawfully having been released from custody by the court, with or without bail, upon condition that he or she will subsequently appear at a specific time and place in connection with Lawrence County felony charge, 23-CR-00075, he or she failed to appear that the time and place as ordered by the court, namely a Change of Plea hearing. .

Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Ethan Pack

The Grand Jury charges: that on or about May 15, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Ethan Pack committed the offense of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree > 2 Grams Methamphetamine by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of approximately 4.00 grams of Methamphetamine, $60.00 in cash monies and digital scales containing chemical residue, with the intent of trafficking in that controlled substance, or by Trafficking in Methamphetamine, namely approximately 4.00 grams of Methamphetamine.

2. Ethan Pack committed the offense of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of twelve (12) dosage units of Suboxone (Buprenorphine), a Schedule III – Controlled Substance, and $60.00 in cash monies, with the intent of trafficking in that Schedule III Controlled Substance, Suboxone or by Trafficking in that Controlled Substance.

3. The above-named defendant committed the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a bag containing numerous used syringes.

4. The above-named Defendant committed the offense of Possession of Marijuana by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Marijuana pipes containing Marijuana.

5. The above-named Defendant committed the violation of No Tail Lamps by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle while the motor vehicle had non-functioning tail lamps.

Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Corielynne Ervin

The Grand Jury charges: that on or about March 12, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Corielynne Ervin acting alone or in complicity with Robert Shenett committed the offense of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree > 2 Grams Methamphetamine by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Methamphetamine, with the intent of trafficking in that controlled substance, or by Trafficking in Methamphetamine, namely approximately 26.99 grams of Methamphetamine.

Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Corielynne Ervin

The Grand Jury charges: that on or about February 13, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Corielynne Ervin acting alone or in complicity with Robert Shenett committed the offense of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree > 2 Grams Methamphetamine by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Methamphetamine, with the intent of trafficking in that controlled substance, or by Trafficking in Methamphetamine, namely approximately 3.270 grams of Methamphetamine.

Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Lisa Green

The Grand Jury charges: that on or about April 10, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Lisa Green committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a Controlled Substance, approximately 0.06 grams of Fentanyl.

2. The above-named Defendant committed the offense of Operating a Motor Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, 2nd Offense within 10 years by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impair a driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle with a prior conviction within ten years (Lawrence District Court, 16-M-00278).

3. The above-named Defendant committed the offense of Failure to Wear Seatbelt by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle without having a seatbelt properly adjusted and fastened.


4. The above-named Defendant committed the offense of License to be in Possession by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway without being in possession of an operator’s license, as required and defined in KRS: 186.510.
