MEEKS SENTENCED, PROBATED IN LAWRENCE CIRCUIT COURT DRUG CASE

ASIA MEEKS SENTENCED IN LAWRENCE CIRCUIT COURT

On February 8, 2024, Asia Meeks appeared in Lawrence Circuit Court before Judge J. Kevin Holbrook with her attorney, Public Defender Gregory Griffith, to be sentenced after she entered a guilty plea on September 22, 2022.

Ms. Meeks entered a plea of guilty to the following charges:

Count 1: Possession of a controlled substance (Class D Felony)

Count 2: Buy/Possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor)

Judge Holbrook sentenced Ms. Meeks to three (3) years on Count 1 and Twelve (12) months on Count 2. However, Ms. Meek’s sentence was diverted for a period of three (3) years of supervised probation upon the conditions that she have no further violations of law and follow all requirements of probation and parole.
