TWO-LEGGED UNCLEAN BEASTS: JAMES LONG, 46 & PATRICIA L. LONG, 43, OF INEZ, KENTUCKY; WERE ARRESTED ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13; WITH EACH OF THEM ON THREE COUNT CHARGES OF ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF MINOR, AFTER IT WAS DISCOVERED THREE JUVENILE GIRLS WERE LIVING IN COMPLETE SQUALOR AT THE HOME THEY WITH THE FILTHY COUPLE.
A Martin County, Kentucky couple had a very unlucky Friday the 13th, after they were arrested after law enforcement were called to their home on a social services complaint.According to the Martin County Sheriff Office, deputies were called on late Friday morning, September 13, to a home on Rockhouse Road in the Inez area, to assist the Department for Social Services, who were responding to a tip about the unsuitability of the living environment at the home, where there the presence of minors.
When the deputies arrived, they made contact with the home’s occupants, who were identified as James Long, 46, and Patricia L. Long, 43, of Inez, KY., who lived with three minor girls, ranging in age from 4 years to 17 years old.
The deputies reported that they saw trash littering the outside of the home when they arrived, but then found even more inside the home. The sheriff office report stated that the home’s floors were impassable and were lost beneath layers, with trash, rotted and moldy food containers and dog feces, and the house had an odor of animal urine and feces. The home had no water or garbage service, resulting in toilets that were filled with human waste.
The deputies wrote that they were unable to find any food inside the home.
The three juvenile girls were placed in the custody of child protective custodies, while James Long and Patricia Long were arrested by Martin County chief deputy Chris Kidd, on the three (3) charge counts of: *ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A MINOR. That charge is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail.
Both James Long and Patricia Long were transported to and booked in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville in Johnson County, at around 1:15 P.M. Both of the Longs’ have since been released from the BSRDC jail after they posted their individual cash bonds.
