Lawrence Co. Head Coach Chandler Thompson
COACH’S COMMENTS
“… They are so big and strong in the inside and when you collapse down on James and he kicks out and they hit threes, they are going to be tough to defeat. It makes it difficult if they are hitting. Coach James does a great job and they deserved to win tonight.”
“… Any time you’re playing a team like Martin Co. and we don’t shoot well it’s going to be tough. I thought our bench played well and played hard but they answered every run that we had. They did a lot of things better than we did tonight.”
“… Great thing about basketball is we don’t have to wait a week like football we get right back at it against Phelps. We will throw some laundry in and get a game plan together and lace them up.”
Martin Co. Head Coach Jason James
COACH’S COMMENTS
“… It feels awesome to open up this place, It is a beautiful facility. I don’t miss driving over to Warfield to play. Tonight was a great atmosphere against a great opponent. Lawrence Co. is good and Coach Thompson does a great job. We hit some shots and they didn’t shoot well but he will have them ready to play down the road.”
“… I was proud of our kids for the effort tonight. They really get up to play Lawrence Co. even though they aren’t in our District. I thought Brady Dingess and Ethan Smith-Mills shot well. When we make shots we are tough to defend.”
