Louisa, Ky. — Lawrence County Senior Brooke Marcum a transfer from Martin County has been ruled eligible effective immediately by the KHSAA to suit up for the Lady Bulldogs.

Marcum will help with point guard duties for the Bulldogs who are off to a little bit of a slow start to the season posting a 3-4 record.

For the Cardinals last season Marcum averaged 15.0 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per contest. She also made 32 three pointers and shot 68.1 from the free throw line.

Marcum will make her debut when Lawrence County plays Volunteer ( TN ) on the prestigious Smoky Mountain Winter Classic in Gatlinburg on Monday at 7:00.

Bulldog Head Coach Melinda Feltner

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… So excited for Brooke and our basketball team. We found out before practice this morning and the girls were ready to go. She will help open things up for us, gives another scorer and ball handler. Also will help with our depth and put more pressure on the defense. Can’t wait to see her in a Bulldog uniform in Tennessee next week.”
