SUSPECT EXCHANGED GUNFIRE WITH DEPUTIES AFTER THEY TRIED TO SERVE WARRANTS ON HIM

Police agencies in Bell County, KY. and neighboring counties are searching for a man who reportedly shot at deputies who were trying to serve him a warrant.
Bell County Sheriff Office deputy Austin Poindexter and deputy Samson Churchwell attempted to serve felony warrants on Paul Holland, 47, of Pineville,KY., in the Cary community on Friday night, August 25.
Law enforcement officials stated after the two deputies made contact, Paul Holland pulled out a gun and started shooting at them.
Deputies Poindexter and Churchwell returned fire and took cover. Police Officials said that Paul Holland then took off on foot and ran into an area of tree woods.
The search for Holland was called at 4:00 A.M. Saturday morning, August 26.
Paul Holland is now wanted for two counts of *Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder of a Police Officer; and *Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Paul Holland is described as a white male, about six feet tall, 210 pounds, with short black hair.
