Fort Gay, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A man in Fort Gay is facing charges after law enforcement found drugs and weapons in his home.

Fort Gay Police tell us they carried out a search warrant at Wayne Fowler’s home early Wednesday morning alongside the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.

They say they seized a distribution amount of crack cocaine and methamphetamine, along with weapons and several-thousand rounds of ammunition.

The arrest was part of a months-long investigation.

Officers say this posed a serious threat to the community considering how close Fowler’s home is to a nearby school.

Wayne Fowler is currently being held at the Western Regional Jail on a $20,000 bond.
