MAJOR DRUG DEALER ARRESTED IN FORT GAY AREA

Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that a major drug dealer was arrested in the Fort Gay area.

Sheriff Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit along with Road Patrol Deputies executed a search warrant for weapons and an additional search warrant for drugs this morning on SaltPetre Rd.

The search yielded two handguns, approximately 153 grams of Cocaine, approximately 6 pounds of Marijuana, digital scales, and more than $30,000 cash.

Clyde ‘Patch’ Chapman is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Shrooms, and Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana. More charges are pending.

Sheriff Rick Thompson appreciates the help from the citizens, which was critical in this effort.
