MAGOFFIN COUNTY, KENTUCKY MAN ARRESTED, CHARGED WITH CHILD RAPE AND CHILD SEX ABUSE

A Magoffin County Kentucky man has been arrested after finding himself hit with a grand jury indictment on sex crimes charges involving a young child.
Michael Anthony Young, 42, of Salyersville, Kentucky; was arrested on Friday morning, December 6, by chief deputy Tim Clark of the Magoffin County Sheriff Office, after being indicted by a Magoffin County grand jury on the charges of:
- RAPE, 1ST DEGREE – VICTIM <12 YEARS OF AGE; and
- SEXUAL ABUSE, 1ST DEGREE, VICTIM UNDER/12 YEARS OF AGE
Magoffin County court records do not elaborate on the allegations against him, except to say that the victim was younger than 12 years old.
Michael Young is currently being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville on a $25,025 full cash bond only. His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, December 19, at 10:00 A.M., in Magoffin County Circuit Court.
