Lydia Milton Salyer, 93, of Live Oak, Florida, formerly of Lawrence County, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, her husband, and children, on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

 

Lydia was born April 21, 1932, in Lawrence County, Kentucky to the late David Morgan and Gypsie Wheeler. Lydia was married to Rothert Salyer on her 19th birthday, April 21, 1951. They were married for over 64 years before Rothert passed away on February 29, 2016. Lydia was also preceded in death by her children, Roxann Freeman and Rebekah Salyer; her sisters Bessie Skaggs, Georgia Wheeler, Jane Salyer, Jean Cordle, and her brothers James and Robert Wheeler.
 

Lydia is survived by her brother David Morgan Wheeler, Jr. and her son-in-law Mark Freeman; her grandchildren Shawn (Alice) Napier, Chris (Liz) Napier, and David (Kimberly) Bartley; her great-grandchildren Brady, Colin, Bianca (Brayam), Maddison, and Hayden Napier, Nicholas, Jayden, and Jurnee Bartley; her great-great-grandchildren Matteo, Oliver, and Luna Napier.

 

Funeral Services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday December 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit the family on Saturday December 13th 11:00 am until time of services at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

 

Care for Lydia and her family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
