Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that three drug suspects were arrested in three separate drug investigations by the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit.
Sheriff Thompson stated that two suspects were charged in investigations in the Westmoreland area.
The Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit made a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Jeffrey Newman near Wayne Street and Piedmont Road. A distribution quantity of drugs were seized along with digital scales.
Jeffrey Newman, of Huntington, is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin, Possession with Intent to Deliver Methylphenidate Hydrochloride, and Pseudoephedrine Altered.
The Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Dwayne Bowman near Vernon Street and James River Road. A distribution quantity of drugs were found secured in a magnetic box. A digital scale and baggies were also seized.
Dwayne Bowman, of Huntington, is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin, Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, and Pseudoephedrine Altered.
Sheriff Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Ashlee Hylton, of Louisa, in Fort Gay after a drug investigation.
The Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Ashlee was driving near Court Street and Cedar Heights.
A distribution quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine and Heroin were seized from her person. Pills, digital scales, and baggies were collected from the vehicle.
Ashlee is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin, and Pseudoephedrine Altered.
Sheriff Thompson stated that the Fort Gay Police Department assisted on the stop.
