From Modeling to Pro Baseball, Cheerleading Proffesionals to Kelsie May making it big with a start on the Voice. Louisa’s youth is showing the world that whatever runs in the water here is working! Highlighting young men and women from this area making thier dreams come true is one of the most rewarding jobs one could have.
Wyatt Wheeler, a 20 year old graduate of Lawrence County High School is a triple threat. He is not only an actor and model, but he also has moves that you can only see on “Dancing With The Stars.” In the buisness, once you are good enough to book an agent, which he has with Heyman Talent Agency, chances are… you WILL make a successful carreer into a dream come true.
“All of my life i have loved the spotlight. I was contantly singing, dancing and putting on shows for anyone that would pay attention,” Wheeler says.
Now everyone is paying attention, and paying money to watch him. He has become a very familiar face at the Paramount Art Center in Ashland, KY. The Paramount Arts Center is a historic theater that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and has hosted plays and concerts for some of the most famous people in the industry.
Wyatt is now attending college at NKU while continuing his dream to perform. While most young men his age take the summer to relax and vacation, he comes home and works at the Paramount, in which he credits to not only giving him a start, but was the factor that convinced him to seek out his dream of being a performer.
Some of his accomplishments at the age of 20 are performing with the Players Theatre Company for 6 years now, he danced in Dancing With Ashland Stars and won the People’s Choice Award in his first year. Wyatt was chosen to present awards at the International Music and Entertainment Awards, he has booked and starred in 2 commercials for Speedway and Clover, he was Mr. Mistoffolees in the Musical “Cats” and won audience favorite, He was Jack in the musical “Fame”, recently he was cast in the High School Musical as Ryan Evans.
In his time at the Paramount he has recieved several Director’s Choice Awards and won an IMEA (International Music And Intertainment Awards) for being a productive member of thier creative team.
Wyatt is the son of Brian Wheeler of Fallsburg, Ky and Christy Wilks who is from Louisa, Ky. He is the grandson of Veronica Wheeler and the Late Ted Wheeler, Myrice Wilks, and the late Albert Wilks Jr. (Junior).
“Even though I’m from a small town in Kentucky, I have not let that slow me down,” Wyatt said.
He is looking forward to many new things to come and his career has only just begun.
