Jeremiah Parsons, Director of Paintsville Tourism, spoke to Louisa Rotary on September 25, 2025.
Kentucky is divided into 9 regions for tourism, with Johnson County and Lawrence County both being a part of East Highland North region. Jeremiah stated that Tourism is a $14.3 billion a year industry in Kentucky. It is third in the state for economic impact. Tourism creates new dollars in your community that wouldn’t have been here otherwise. Paintsville and Lawrence County work closely together to promote our area and all the wonderful resources and attractions we have to offer.
