Although County Attorney Johnny Osborne was unable to attend, Assistant County Attorney Jason Greer and attorney Josh Kinzer joined Rotarians to share insight into the important work their office performs for Lawrence County. In total, three attorneys serve in the County Attorney’s Office.
The office handles a wide range of responsibilities, including misdemeanor and family court cases, child support enforcement, delinquent tax collection, advising county officials, and assisting with guardianship matters. Their work touches nearly every corner of the community, providing legal guidance and support to both citizens and county government.
Beyond the daily caseload, the attorneys emphasized the heart behind their work. Their goals are centered on conflict resolution and seeking justice in a fair and balanced manner.
Assistant County Attorney Jason Greer shared a thoughtful perspective during the meeting, noting, “Conflict should be resolved by conversation, understanding, and cooperation.”
Rotarians appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the legal processes that impact local families and government operations, as well as the commitment of the County Attorney’s Office to serving Lawrence County with integrity and fairness.
