The Louisa Rotary Club held its weekly meeting at The First Baptist Church in Louisa, KY on Thursday February 6, 2020.
The meeting started out with prayer led by LFB pastor Chuck Price, The Pledge of Allegiance led by Tommy Thompson, followed by the 4 Way Test led by Debbie Cordle.
Rotary Vice President Mike Shapaka started out by sending condolences to Rotary President, Elaine DeSario who was absent from the meeting due to the passing of her father-in-law, Peter J. DeSario 73, of Palm City, Florida.
Mike and the Rotary club also congratulated Member Sheila Kensinger and her husband Mike on their 24th wedding anniversary. They also sent out a Happy 63rd Birthday to Sheila’s husband Mike.
Rev. Dan Smith, pastor of the Louisa United Methodist Church did a presentation on “Cabin Fever” Resolutions.
He discussed how Depression is an Epidemic in our Society today and the steps to help with the issues. He also showed a film of, “The Rotary Theme Song” from Taiwan, although in another country The Rotary Clubs are worldwide making a difference in their communities lives as much as they can.
The Rotary members are sending prayers to everyone who has been sick in our community and prayers for a quick recovery!
