Salyersville, Ky Louisa East captures the C team and B team EKEBC tournament championships on Friday night.
Louisa East wins 2 out of 3 conference championships to end another great season. East wins C and B team division championships, going undefeated in season and conference play. A-team falls short by 4 points in the championship game.
The C-team is made up of 2nd and 3rd graders.

C Team Cheerleaders

This is also the team that won the KBC Kentucky Elementary State Tournament back in December in Lexington. In the conference tournament they first faced Fallsburg and knocked off the Dragons 30-12. This set up a championship game with their conference rival, Paintsville. The Dawgs started early and never looked back, winning the championship convincingly 20-4 after leading 17-0 at half. The C-team is coached by Casey Fitzpatrick, Bobby Keeton, and Jordan Raines. Louisa East has won every EKEBC C-Team conference tournament, 4-0.
The B Team

The roster is 3rd graders Eli Block and Tyson Muncy
4th graders Colton Bentley, Charlie Spillman, Easton Davis, Lucas McDaniel, Easton Osborn, and Rylan Spillman.
They are coached by Bobby Keeton, Jordan Raines, and Casey Fitzpatrick.

The B-team also went undefeated in conference and tournament action and brought home the title back to downtown Louisa! In the 2nd round, they faced home team North Magoffin. They dispatched of the Panthers easily 28-5. This also set up a championship game with rival Paintsville. This game was similar to the C-team with the Bulldogs winning in convincing fashion 26-8. The B-team is made up of 3rd and 4th graders.
This team also went to the final four in the state tournament in December in Lexington.
The A-team is made up of 5th graders:

Gunner Cornwell, Aiden Newsome, Jaxon Chafin, Gunner Blevins, Jake Vanhoose, Tucker Dixon, Lucas Block, Foster Cline, Noah Stewar, Tucker Muncy, Brooks Parker, and Brayson Raines.
They are coached by Jordan Raines and Eddie Dixon.

The A-team lost 2 conference games to North Magoffin during the regular season and earned the #2 seed for the tournament. The Bulldogs faced rival Paintsville in their first game of the tournament in the second round. They knocked off the Tigers 38-30 to set up a rematch with North Magoffin.
Unfortunately, the Bulldogs would face the same outcome, dropping the championship game 32-28 in a very tight contest at Magoffin County.
The Bulldogs have been competing in the EKEBC 4 years. Out of the 12 possible championships, the Dawgs have won 8 titles.
