LOUISA CITY COUNCIL GETS PREVIEW OF DEFIBRILLATOR BY THE LOUISA FIRE DEPT…

Fourth of July will be held on Fourth of July

The Louisa City Council had a Regular Scheduled Monthly Meeting on Tuesday March 12, 2024 at Louisa City Hall, 215 N. Main Cross Street, Louisa, Kentucky at 6PM. Mayor of Louisa Harold Slone was in attendance along with City Council Members Keith Chaffin, Coty Roe, Rose Lester, Caleb Farley and Gary Robertson. Joey McClanahan was absent.

Louisa Fire Chief Eddie Preston had 2 Fire Dept Volunteers to help display how the New Defibrillator works. (SEE VIDEO)

The Minutes were approved unanimously by the Louisa City Council Members with a Motion by Gary Robertson and 2nd by Caleb Farley. (SEE VIDEO)

Bryson May from FIVCO.

Next, Mayor Harold Slone announced Bryson May from FIVCO. Mr. May is working on the center line project. This project makes streets and roads legal with the State of Kentucky. The Louisa City Council members unanimously approved the Motion by Keith Chaffin 2nd by Coty Roe. (SEE VIDEO)

The Louisa City Council members unanimously approved the “Participation in Municipal Road Aid Funds Cooperative Program” with a Motion by Rose Lester 2nd by Coty Roe.

The City Council has unanimously approved that 4th of July celebrations will be on Thursday, July 4, 2024 with a Motion by Rose Lester 2nd by Gary Robertson.

Mayor Slone discussed the Code Enforcement problems the City of Louisa has had. As of this time there are 2 properties that are being dealt with, one is on Berry Street and the other property is a trailer on Lock Avenue.

The Louisa City Council adjourned with a Motion by Rose Lester 2nd by Caleb Farley.
