Sabrina Cantrell started working for the county Aug 1995 so she has ‘right at 28 years’ in, she says.
She has been County Treasurer for much of the past 12 years and served as assistant Treasurer before that.
“My term (as Treasurer) is up on June 30th anyway and my health insurance will be fully paid for with retirement,” the well liked courthouse personality said in a note today. “I am going to spend some much needed time with my daughter. She is 13 now and I have missed so much time with her.”
There was no word on who will replace Sabrina, as the county has reportedly posted applications on its Facebook site.
Someone needs to do a audit an see if everything is up to par??
