Huntington, W. Va. — Grayson ‘ Lil Cheezy ‘ Spaulding won the 2022 West Virginia Toughman Heavyweight division Saturday night at Mountain Health Arena.
Grayson Spaulding getting his hand raised after defeating Mark Porter Saturday night to win the Toughman Contest.
Spaulding ( 19 ) is a Kermit native but spent his first three years at Tolsia high school before graduating from Tug Valley in 2020.
Grayson fought one time Friday night pummeling his opponent before the referee stopped the fight in under 20 seconds.
On Saturday night it looked like he would have to win three times to capture the title but one got sick and one got hurt setting up the championship fight against Mark Porter.
The title fight went the distance with Spaulding winning by unanimous decision to capture the $1,000 prize and the coveted Toughman jacket.

“… Excited to get the win, but not sure if I will fight in another one. I can’t thank the doctors, emts and all of the medical staff that was in the back, they were great to all of the competitors and made sure we were all safe. It was a great atmosphere and huge crowds on both nights.”
“… I want to thank everyone that came out to support me both nights. I probably had 30 people there and they were rowdy. I also gained some new fans during the event.”
Tough man or fat man contest? 😂
