Lloyd “Sonny” Childers, Jr, age 49, of Sidney, OH passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, OH.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Scott Childers of Sidney; his mother, Gretchen Scarberry Childers of Louisa, KY and one son, Alden Scott Childers of Sidney, OH.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel in Paintsville, Ky. with Joe Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Louisa, KY.

Friends may call at Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 5:00 p.m.– 9:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017.

A Masonic service will be conducted by the Richardson Masonic Lodge # 699 at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
