The Lawrence County Public Library is excited to announce the grand opening celebration of the newly renovated building and children’s wing addition, Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
The event will feature a drive through carnival including a stilt walker, fire performer, aerial acrobatics, and more. Balloon animals and treat bags will be given away. Additionally, one lucky raffle winner will take home a Kindle Fire tablet. All events and giveaways are free of charge.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, events will take place outside, rain or shine. Group tours of the building will be provided on a timed schedule with a limited number of participants in each group. Masks will be required for everyone over the age of five to enter the building and must be worn during tours.
Traffic flow will be monitored by the Louisa City Police with a specific driving pattern established by closing streets and points of entry. See map created by LPD for reference.
Information regarding library operating hours, procedures, and policies will be updated on the library’s website, www.lcplky.org, prior to the event.
Isn’t it about time to start another renovation? The previous one took so long that it’s looking old already!!
