LCHS Boys Soccer upended by Johnson Central in the Class 2A Section 8 Tournament

Paintsville, Ky. — Lawrence County Boys Soccer was eliminated from the Class 2A Section 8 Tournament by Johnson Central 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Aiden Mynhier scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs against the Golden Eagles.

Prestonsburg 3 Lawrence Co. 2 ( Monday ) 

On Monday night at home Aiden Mynhier scored twice but it wasn’t enough as the Blackcats edged the Bulldogs.

Daniel Clemente, Cole Robinette, Cooper Vinson, Bobby Baisden, Dalton Shapaka

The SoccerDawgs ( 1-4 ) will be off until Tuesday September 2nd with a road game at Ashland before hosting Knott Co. Central on Wednesday September 3rd.

COACH’S COMMENTS

“ We have dropped two tough games in a row against quality opponents in Prestonsburg and Johnson Central. I really think we just ran out of legs. I will own the loss and chalk it up to poor scheduling.”
