LC PUBLIC LIBRARY MAKES CHANGES TO THE HOMESCHOOL SERVICE POLICY

The Lawrence County Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting was held on January 12, 2026 at Noon at the Lawrence County Public Library, 102 W. Main Street, Louisa, Kentucky. LC Public Library Director Deena Meade was in attendance along with the Board of Trustees Lindsay Smith, Connie Fairchild, Andie Mattox, and Lynn Perry. JoJo Triplett was absent. LC Public Library Lawyer Josh Puckett was in attendance also.

HOMESCHOOL SERVICE POLICY

Director Meade spoke about a few changes to the Homeschool Service Policy. The Policy changes included that

  • Homeschool Teachers are Educators.
  • There will be a Homeschool Resource shelf so everyone can follow the guidelines at the library.
  • The Homeschool students make copies of books for reference materials. The charge for these materials that students can have are 20 copies at No Charge per month. During the month if they get more than 20 copies the charge will be .15 cents per copy.

 

Meade also said, “The Homeschool Service Policy can be amended at any time by the Board of Trustees.” The Board unanimously approved the Homeschool Service Policy changes with a Motion by Connie Fairchild and seconded by Lynn Perry.

APPROVE DECEMBER 2025 MEETING MINUTES

The Board unanimously approved the December 2025 Meeting Minutes with a Motion by Andie Mattox and seconded by Connie Fairchild.

APPROVE NOVEMBER 2025 FINANCIALS 

The Board unanimously approved the November 2025 Financials with a Motion by Andie Mattox and seconded by Lynn Perry.

DIRECTORS REPORT

The Directors Report was given by Director Deena Meade.
