The Lawrence County Public Library Board of Trustees had a Special Meeting on Monday, October 26, 2026 at Noon. LCPL Director Deena Meade was in attendance along with the Board of Trustees including Lindsay Smith, Connie Fairchild, Lynn Perry and Andie Maddix. JoJo Triplett was absent. APPROVE JULY 2026 FINANCIALS
The July 2026 Financials were unanimously approved with a Motion by Lynn Perry and seconded by Connie Fairchild.
APPROVE SEPTEMBER 2026 MEETING MINUTES
The September 2026 Meeting Minutes were unanimously approved with a Motion by Connie Fairchild and seconded by Lynn Perry.
APPROVE AUGUST 2026 FINANCIALS
The August 2026 Financials were unanimously approved with a Motion by Andie Mattix and seconded by Connie Fairchild.

BUDGET AMENDMENT
Because of long term phases, improvements are being made to the library. There will be a panel to replace the vote to reinstate Code 850 back to the budget. It is the building code. If you do upgrades of any kind. It hasn’t been used since the building was remodeled but the addition of the two study rooms meant we had to have a line for building again.
Motion by Lynn Perry and seconded by Connie Fairchild. None Opposed.
BOARD OF TRUSTEE TIME LIMIT POLICY
The amount of time used in “Audience Comments” was discussed. President Lindsay Smith said, “I would like to decide to vote on this today or table to reduce discussion time limits.” The Trustees voted to table until next meeting. Motion by Andie Mattix and seconded by Lynn Perry. None Opposed.
