LC FISCAL COURT PURCHASES LAND ON US 23 FOR ‘INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT’

The Lawrence County, Ky. Fiscal Court had a Special Meeting on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Lawrence County Court House, Downtown 2nd Floor, 122 S. Main Cross Street, Louisa, Kentucky. LC Judge Executive Phillip Carter was in attendance along with the LC Magistrates David Pinson, Rick Blackburn, Michael Mouse Halcomb, and John Scaggs {via FaceTime}.

There was only one item on the agenda and it was not explained why the purchase of property required a special meetin.g

Finalize Land Purchase

The lone item was a land purchase between Morgan and Shannon Cyrus and the LC Fiscal Court at the Special Meeting. The five acre property was bought with State Grant Funds for $300,000.

This property is located on US 23 near Clayton Homes of Louisa. The property will be used for an Industrial Park and will contain a 60,000 sq ft Spec Building, LC Economic Development director Vince Doty said after the meeting.

The item was unanimously approved with a Motion by Rick Blackburn 2nd by Michael Mouse Halcomb. None Opposed. Roll Call.
