Ag Education Week
Kentucky’s All in for Agriculture Education Weeks are a collaborative effort from Ag Commissioner Jonathan Shell, Lt. Governor Jacqueline Coleman, and Education Commissioner Robbie Fletcher to increase access to agriculture education within the Commonwealth. Hallmarks of this work include: support for educators, commitment to the academic standards, strong ag partnerships, and connection to real word skills and problems. All In for Ag Education Weeks include hands-on lessons, contests, and community engagement that bring agriculture, food, and standards-based learning into every subject. Lawrence County students will teach agriculture, farm safety to younger ones Tuesday during Ag Day at the Fairgrounds

| FRANKFORT (Sept. 21, 2026) — During Day 2 of Kentucky’s All In for Ag Education Week, Lawrence County middle and high school students will take the lead in teaching younger students about agriculture and farm safety during Ag Day at the Fairgrounds at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Louisa, Ky.
Elementary students will rotate through interactive stations led by older students, learning about equipment safety, agricultural practices, and how to stay safe on and around farms. |
