On Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2, the Lawrence County Quilted Treasures Quilt Guild is hosting their annual Craft Bazaar, Silent Auction for Charity and Quilt Show.
It will be held at the Lawrence Co. Ext. Office from 10 am – 2 pm. Items up for bid at the Silent Auction are made by local crafters and include, Quilts, Wall Hangings, Door Banners, Table Toppers and other items.
This auction is unique in that it does not benefit just one charity. It provides the opportunity for the maker of the item to pick a charity that will benefit from the proceeds of the item they have donated. All proceeds from each item goes directly to the charity named to benefit from the sale.
Items for the auction will be on display at the Three Rivers Medical Center Conference room, in Louisa on Oct. 30 and 31 between the hours of 11:00 and 1:00pm and then at the Extension Office during the Quilt Show. Bidding may done online at www.Facebook.com/LCQuiltedTreasurersor in person at the show.
Bids are continuously updated. Our auction in 2018 raised $1072. and benefited 9 different charities. Some of the charities to be benefited include Open Arms Animal Shelter, Trinity Christian Academy, Lawrence County Homemakers Scholarship Fund and Pleasant Springs Farm Animal Rescue.
Also, at this event we will have local craftsman selling their handmade items and the Quilt Guild members will be displaying their quilts for the Quilt Show. Admission is free to the show.
