LOUISA MAN ONE OF THREE FEDERAL INDICTMENTS AGAINST FOUR PEOPLE IN THREE SEPARATE JOHNSON COUNTY DRUG CASES
FEDERAL DRUG INDICTMENT NUMBER ONE: PHILLIP JUDE, 57, OF LOUISA, KY.
A Lawrence County man who was arrested earlier this month on drug trafficking charges in Johnson County, Kentucky; found himself in nearly immediately worse legal troubles, when he was struck with a federal indictment on Thursday, two weeks after his arrest.
According to federal court documents, the United States District Court Eastern District of Kentucky in Pikeville, KY., a federal grand jury handed down three federal indictments against four individuals in three separate cases related to alleged drug trafficking in Johnson County, KY., on Thursday, September 22, according to the federal court documents.
In number one of the three federal indictments, Phillip Jude, 57, of Piney Point Way, of Louisa, KY., was indicted on six counts of distribution of oxycodone, methamphetamine and fentanyl, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, one count of distribution of oxycodone, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, oxycodone and fentanyl and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense.
The federal indictment of Phillip Jude came about after his arrest on Wednesday, September 7, in Johnson County, by trooper Reed (badge 699) of the Kentucky State Police, Post 9, Pikeville, on eight (8) charges, including trafficking of six (6) different kinds of illegal narcotic drugs. The criminal offenses Phillip Jude was charged with on September 7 were:
* TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE,1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 10 D.U. OPIATES),
*TRAFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),
*TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST OFFENSE (CARFENTANIL OR FENTANYL DERIVATIVES),
*TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),
*TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 20 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 3), TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 3RD DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (>120 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED),
*POSSESSION OF HANDGUN BY CONVICTED FELON,
*POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY CONVICTED FELON,
*DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
Phillip Jude currently remains incarcerated in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, KY.
Among the other three individuals who were named in the other two federal indictments, a local Johnson County couple, and a man from Mercer County, KY., were identified as:
NUMBER THREE FEDERAL INDICTMENT: AARON T. WELCH, 30, OF VAN LEAR, KY., & SAMANTHA T. DANIELS, 36, OF PAINTSVILLE, KY.
Aaron T. Welch, 30, of Wolfpen Hollow, Van Lear, KY., and Samantha N. Daniels, 36, of Daisy Street, Paintsville, KY., (also known as Samantha Webb), who were both indicted on three counts of conspiracy with one another and with others to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine.
The whereabouts of both Aaron T. Welch and Samantha N. Daniels are unknown as of this time.
