A Lawrence County man has been sentenced to prison, after pleading guilty to federal drug and gun charges.
Phillip Jude, 58, of Louisa, pleaded guilty back in November to possession of meth, fentanyl and oxycodone with the intent to distribute and use of a gun in a drug trafficking crime. In doing so, he admitted to having the drugs and a firearm in his possession back in September 2022 after they were discovered during a traffic stop by a Kentucky State Police trooper in Johnson County.
Phillip Jude had faced a potential life sentence for the crimes, but instead was sentenced to a total of ten (10} years in federal prison.
