LOUISA, Ky. — The Lawrence County Grand Jury met on Friday, Sept. 14th and came back with 12 Indictments. Half of those 12 were not local, but for individuals who came to Lawrence County to commit crimes. These indictments show that many of the crimes being committed are also being committed by a much younger crowd.
Methamphetamine has trickled down to the younger generation and the dominate drug has yet to show any signs of slowing down, many comments are blaming the circuit court for handing out probation to repeat offenders and being so lenient. The drug remains to leave so many families in our area in crisis.
HERE ARE THE GRAND JURY CHARGES
Gregory Mitchell, 32 of Lomansville, KY.
The Grand Jury charges that on or before February the 14th 2018, Gregory Mitchell acting alone or in complicity with Dawn Stennett committed the offense of Criminal Abuse in the 2nd degree by wantonly abusing or permitting a person to be abused one whomhe has custody, causing serious physical injury and or placing him in a situation that may have caused him serious physical injury to a person 12 years of age or less.
Bond set at $5000.
Dawn Stennett, 47 of Lomansville, KY.
The Grand Jury charges that on or before February the 14th 2018, Dawn Stennett acting alone or in complicity committed the offense of Criminal Abuse in the 2nd degree by wantongly abusing or permitting a person to be abused one whom has custody, causing serious physical injury and or placing him in a situation that may have caused him serious physical injury to a person 12 years of age or less.
Bond set at $5000.
Ambre F. Gilpin, 28 of Louisa
The Grand Jury charged that on or before June 20th 2018, the defendant committed the offense of 2 Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st degree by knowingly and unlawfully possessing a controlled substance namely, methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia by unlawfully possessing a soda can with chemical residue in the bottom of said can and Public Intoxication by unlawfully being in a public place manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance to the degree that she was a danger to herself or others, or property and unreasonably annoying the person within her vicinity.
Bond set for $5000.
Robert Chafin, 41 of Louisa was Indicted on Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree (2 Counts) on or before April 2nd, 2018,
The Grand Jury charges that the defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed a Schedule I narcotic, one count the defendant possessed Heroin and on the 2nd count the defendant possessed Methamphetamine.
Bond set at $5000.
Kaitlin Riner, 23 of Louisa was indicted on Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree/Complicity.
The Grand Jury charges that on or before May 13th, 2018 the defendant acting alone or in complicity with Robert Cyrus knowingly and unlawfully possessing a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
Bond set at $5000.
Robert Cyrus, aka Casey Cyrus 33 of Ft.Gay, WV. was indicted and charged by the Grand Jury with Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree/Complicity.
On or before May 13th, 2018 the defendant acting alone or with Kaitlin Riner knowingly and unlawfully possessed the controlled substance, methamphetamine.
Roger Vincent, III, 20 of Crum, WV was indicted and charged by the Grand Jury with Robbery 2nd degree/Complicity, Trafficking In a Controlled Substance, 1st offense/complicity, Assault, 4th degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/complicity and Trafficking In Marijuana.
On or before June 25th 2018 in Lawrence County, the defendant acting alone or in complicity with Dylan Jarrells and Madison Evans, knowingly and unlawfully, while in the course of committing a theft from Miss Rhea Mann of Louisa used or threatened the immediate use of physical force in an attempt to accomplish the theft. The defendants knowingly and unlawfully possessed a controlled with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in the controlled substance. The defendants knowingly and intentionally committed the offense of assault, 4th degree by causing physical injury to Ms. Rhea Mann, the defendant also possessed spoons, syringes, baggies and straws used in the traffic and or use of controlled substances. The defendants possessed marijuana with the intent to traffic in marijuana or by trafficking in marijuana.
Madison Evans, 21 of Ft. Gay, WV. Was indicted and indicted and charged by the Grand Jury with Robbery 2nd degree/Complicity, Trafficking In a Controlled Substance, 1st offense/complicity, Assault, 4th degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/complicity and Trafficking In Marijuana.

Dylan Jarrells, 24 of Dunlow, WV. indicted and charged by the Grand Jury with Robbery 2nd degree/Complicity, Trafficking In a Controlled Substance, 1st offense/complicity, Assault, 4th degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/complicity and Trafficking In Marijuana.
On or before June 25th 2018 in Lawrence County, the defendant acting alone or in complicity with Roger Vincent, III and Madison Evans, knowingly and unlawfully, while in the course of committing a theft from Miss Rhea Mann of Louisa used or threatened the immediate use of physical force in an attempt to accomplish the theft. The defendants knowingly and unlawfully possessed a controlled with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in the controlled substance. The defendants knowingly and intentionally committed the offense of assault, 4th degree by causing physical injury to Ms. Rhea Mann, the defendant also possessed spoons, syringes, baggies and straws used in the traffic and or use of controlled substances. The defendants possessed marijuana with the intent to traffic in marijuana or by trafficking in marijuana.
Nathan Cox, 35 of Paintsville, KY. Indicted and charged by the Grand Jury with Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree, Possession of Marijuana and Theft By Unlawful Taking (shoplifting) under $500.
On or before July 19th 2018 the defendant knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, the defendant was in possession of marijuana and knowingly and unlawfully taking a pair of gloves and various other items from Walmart of Louisa with a value not exceeding $500.
Tiara Curry, 22 of South Charleston, WV. Was indicted by the Grand Jury for Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree, Disregarding a Stop sign, Failure to wear seat belts, no registration plates, no registration receipt and failure of owner to maintain required insurance, security first offense.
The defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Upon disreguarding a stop sign the defendant failed to wear her seat belt Wow operating a motor vehicle on the road ways of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The defendant failed to display or produced her registration plate, failed to produce a valid receipt or a valid receipt payment of fees required to register her motor vehicle or maintain the proper proof of insurance/security required by the state of Kentucky.
Donald Dickerson, 32 of Louisa, KY. Was indicted on Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance, 2nd degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Public Intoxication (excluding alcohol).
The Grand Jury charges that on or before July 17th 2018 the defendant possessed a controlled substance, methamphetamine. The defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed a schedule III controlled substance, suboxone, the defendant possessed and altered glass pipe, a spoon containing chemical residue and a syringe and was intoxicated in public on a controlled substance. Bond set at $5000.
