FROM 12:00 A.M., JULY 21, 2025, THRU TO 11:59 P.M., JULY 31, 2024, (11 DAYS); AT LEAST 88 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, AND MARTIN COUNTIES, AND OTHER COUNTiES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, KY., IN JOHNSON COUNTY.

OUT OF THOSE 88 ARRESTS, 23 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. TWO (2) LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE ARRESTED IN ANOTHER  COUNTY; ONE (1) IN MARTIN COUNTY, AND ONE (1) IN HARLAN COUNTY.

PREVIOUSLY, FROM 12:00 A.M., JULY 11, 2025, THRU TO 11:59 P.M., JULY 20, 2024, (10 DAYS); AT LEAST 89 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, AND MARTIN COUNTIES, AND OTHER COUNTiES  COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION  CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, KY., IN JOHNSON COUNTY. OUT OF THOSE 88 ARRESTS, 19 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. TWO (2) LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE ARRESTED IN A NEIGHBORING COUNTY; BOTH IN MARTIN COUNTY.

THE NUMBER OF INMATES THAT WERE BEING HOUSED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL  DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, KY., IN JOHNSON COUNTY, ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 1, AT 12:01 A.M., WAS 190. THE MAXIMUM DESIGNATED CAPACITY OF THE BSRDC FACILITY IS 225.

HERE ARE THE NAMES OF THOSE 23 LAWRENCE COUNTY, KY. ARRESTS FROM JULY 21-31, 2025, ARE AS THE FOLLOWING:

Travis Michael Dingess, 41, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on July 21, 2025, at 4:36 A.M., by patrolwoman officer Shelby Taylor of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS (2 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS), • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE FENTANYL, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE – CODEINE.
Alexandra Wilson, 29, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on July 21, 2025, at 4:37 A.M., by patrolwoman officer Shelby Taylor of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO APPEAR.
Ronnie Brett-Lee Shannon, 30, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on July 12,2025, at 2:17 P.M., by deputy Greg Powers of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) MINOR INJURY.
Wilbern Lee Maynard, 34, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on July 21, 2025, at 10:15 P.M.,by patrolwoman officer Shelby Taylor of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • VIOLATION OF A KENTUCKY EPO/DVO, • STALKING 1ST DEGREE, • CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, 1ST DEGREE, • HARASSMENT (NO PHYSICAL CONTACT).
Pamela J. Tafoya, 43, of Nutter Fork, West Virginia; was arrested on July 21,2025, at 11:24 P.M., by trooper Logan Layne of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO APPEAR.

Clayton James Hall,39, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested in Martin County, KY., on July 21, 2025, at 11:25 P.M., by deputy Steven Putnam of the Martin County Sheriff Department,  and was charged with: • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE.

Evan Lee Sizemore, 31, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on July 22, 2025, at 12:31 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged  with: • FAILURE TO APPEAR.

Segar Tracy Adkins, 27, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on July 23 ,2025, at 5:33 P.M., by trooper Chase Coverdale of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: 
• DRIVING ON DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE -1ST OFFENSE,  • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, • FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD,  • NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, • NO REGISTRATION PLATES, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE/MOTORCYCLE FUNCTIONAL WITHOUT/OPERATIONAL IGNITION INTERLOCK DEVICE, • LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION, • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL (189A.010(1B) – 2ND OFFENSE (AGGRAVATING CIRCUMSTANCES).

Edward Garfield Adkins, 54, of Virgie, Kentucky; was arrested on July 23 ,2025, at 10:02 P.M., by trooper Chase Coverdale of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • SPEEDING 05 MPH OVER LIMIT, • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE, • FAILURE TO SURRENDER REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE, • FAILURE TO APPEAR.

Natasha Nicole Robertson, 34, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; was arrested on July 24, 2025, at 6:03 P.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • NON-PAYMENT OF SUPPORT.

Angela Rose Ratliff, 41, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on July 24, 2025, at 11:20 P.M., by deputy Tyler Laney of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).

Robert David Hammond, 59, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on July 24, 2025, at 11:24 P.M., by deputy Tyler Laney of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).
Kenneth Farrell-Le Sammons, 50, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on July 25, 2025, at 3:31 P.M., by trooper Zachary Wright of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: 
• WANTON ENDANGERMENT-2ND DEGREE-POLICE OFFICER,  • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL .08 (189A.010(1A) – 2ND OFFENSE, • FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (MOTOR VEHICLE), • SPEEDING 10 MPH OVER LIMIT, • RECKLESS DRIVING,  • POSSESSION OF OPEN ALCOHOL BEVERAGE CONTAINER IN MOTOR VEHICLE PROHIBITED, • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS.
Danny Harmon, 47, of Webbville, Kentucky; was arrested on July 25, 2025, at 9:11 P.M., by deputy Joseph Osborne of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) NO VISIBLE INJURY.

Billy Joe Salmons, 45, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on July 25, 2025, at 8:06 P.M., by deputy Daniel Castle of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: 
• HITCHHIKING-DISREGARD TRAFFIC REGULATION BY PEDESTRIAN, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Andres Zuniga-Mendoza, 22, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on July 27, 2025, at 11:17 P.M., by trooper John Holbrook of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE), • FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 2ND DEGREE (MOTOR VEHICLE), • TRAFFICKING IN MARIJUANA ( LESS THAN 8 OZ.) 1ST OFFENSE, • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS, • ONE HEADLIGHT, • REAR LICENSE NOT ILLUMINATED.

Ronald Lee Ward, 45, of Pippa Passes, Kentucky; was taken into custody at the Lawrence County Judicial Center on July 30, 2025, at 12:45 P.M.,by court security officer Charlie Curnutte of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT, 
Christopher Cecil Cox, 39, of Huntington, West Virginia; was arrested on July 31, 2025, at 11:45 P.M., by deputy Tyler Laney of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • REAR LICENSE NOT ILLUMINATED, • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE).
Jeffery Wayne Ball, 27, of Perry, Kentucky; was arrested on July 31, 2025, at 11:47 P.M., by deputy Tyler Laney of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE), • REAR LICENSE NOT ILLUMINATED. 
Alexiya Schwan, 36, of Louisa, Kentucky; was taken into custody in Harlan County on July 24, 2025, at 11:09 A.M., at Harlan County Detention Center in Evarts, Kentucky; after being sentenced in her case on the charge of: *POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE); and is classification listed as: CLASS D STATE INMATE.
