SEVERAL INDIVIDUALS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AFTER BEING WANTED ON NEW LAWRENCE COUNTY GRAND JURY INDICTMENTS.
FROM 12:00 A.M., JULY 11, 2025, THRU TO 11:59 P.M., JULY 20, 2024, (10 DAYS); AT LEAST 89 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, AND MARTIN COUNTIES, AND OTHER COUNTiES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, KY., IN JOHNSON COUNTY.
OUT OF THOSE 89 ARRESTS, 19 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. TWO (2) LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE ARRESTED IN A NEIGHBORING COUNTY; BOTH IN MARTIN COUNTY.
