Lawrence County High School LCHS Beta Students Shine at the 2026 State Beta Competition! The LCHS Beta students recently journeyed to Lexington, KY, for the 2026 Beta Competition on Thursday, March 5th! Congratulations to Zoey McCoy, a junior at LCHS, who secured 2nd place in Language Arts: 11th Grade. Additionally, Rileigh Shannon, another LCHS junior, achieved 3rd place in the Creative Writing Division II, competing against both junior and senior students.

Meanwhile, Miss Amelia Cooper participated in the cake-decorating contest and enjoyed the exciting challenge! We thank Mrs. Lynda Peterson, the LCHS Beta Sponsor, for her encouragement and leadership in guiding these students to compete in this year’s events! #LCisHome
