With flu season approaching, Lawrence County Health Department will offer walk-in flu shot clinics on Mondays beginning Monday, October 12, 2026. Residents can protect themselves and their families by stopping by for a seasonal flu vaccine with no appointment necessary.
Annual flu vaccination is recommended for everyone six months of age and older. It remains the most effective way to prevent flu-related illness, hospitalization, and complications. Getting vaccinated is especially critical for individuals at high risk of severe illness, including adults aged 65 or older, young children, pregnant individuals, and those with chronic health conditions.
“Getting your flu shot before activity peaks in our community is one of the most important steps you can take for your health this fall,” said Kristinia Robinette, Nurse Supervisor. “By offering walk-in availability, we want to make it as quick and convenient as possible to get protected.”

What to Bring: Please bring your health insurance card, if applicable.
Most insurance plans cover the flu vaccine at no out-of-pocket cost to the patient. For those without insurance or are underinsured, low-cost or no-cost options may be available.
