Lawrence County B-Team wins 8-6 in OT, will play for a Turf Bowl Championship Saturday at Marshall University

Louisa, Ky. — The Lawrence Co. Youth League B-Team advanced to the Turf Bowl with a thrilling 8-6 overtime victory over D-C on Saturday afternoon at Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Stadium.

South Point ( OH ) 30 Lawrence Co. 0 ( C-Team ) Wayne 20 Lawrence Co. 0 ( A-Team ) 

The B -Team Bulldogs were fired up coming out of the Dawg House. 

After a scoreless four quarters of regulation Douglass-Cammack got the ball first in overtime and scored from 17 yards out on 4th and two but were stopped on the two point conversion and led 6-0. 

On the Bulldogs offensive possession Brooks Parker found his way into the end zone from 11 yards out to tie it up. 

On the two point try QB Lucas Block made his way into the end zone for the 8-6 victory and set off a wild celebration as the Dawgs are headed to the Turf Bowl. 

The Bulldogs ( 7-0 ) will face Buffalo in the Turf Bowl at Marshall University this Saturday afternoon at 2:00. 

#11 Colton Bentley, #44 Tucker Dixon, #32 Aiden Newsome and #68 Braxton Keaton were solid on defense against D-C. 

South Point ( OH ) 30 Lawrence Co. 0 ( C-Team ) 

In a game played at South Point the Dawgs fell behind early and couldn’t recover as their season came to an end. 

Wayne 20 Lawrence Co. 0 ( A-Team ) 

In a game also play at South Point the Bulldogs never could get much going as their season came to an end. 

Turf Bowl Matchups for Saturday November 15th at Marshall University. 

In the first game at 10:00 am it will be D-C versus Barboursville. 

In the second game at noon it will be Ona-Milton versus South Point ( OH ) 

In the third game at 2:00 it will be Lawrence County versus Buffalo. 

In the final game of the day at 4:00 it will be D-C versus Wayne.
