In the past 8 day period from 12:01 A.M. October 13, 2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. October 20,2019; there were at least 69 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 69, 10 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
Three Lawrence County residents were taken into custody in other Kentucky counties (1 in Martin County, 1 resident was arrested in Lawrence County by the state police on a federal warrant and was lodged in Carter County, and 1 resident taken by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to Hardin County to be prepped for entry into a state prison).
That is in comparison to the previous past 6 day period from 12:01 A.M. October 7, 2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. October 12, 2019; there were at least 82 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 82, 17 of those arrested were from Lawrence County. Also, three Lawrence County residents were taken into custody in other Kentucky counties (2 in Johnson County, and 1 in Greenup County).
The number of inmates that were lodged at the BSRDC in Paintsville was 233,as of late Sunday night, October 13, 2019.
The names and criminal charges of those latest ten arrested in Lawrence County, along with the three Lawrence County residents arrested in other Ky. county jurisdictions, are the following:
Clarence Edson Johnson IV, 28, of Pinconning, Michigan; was arrested on October 13, 2019, at 2:33 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (NO VISIBLE INJURY).
James E. Bryant, 48, of Louisa, was arrested on October 14, 2019, at 12:43 P.M., by court security officer Dave Wallen, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:
• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT,
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFF – (> OR = 10 D.U. DATE RAPE DRUG),
• TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.
Jocelyn N. Pickard, 34, of Louisa, was arrested on October 14, 2019, at 12:45 P.M., by court security officer Charlie Curnutte, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),
• WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE,
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,
• POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA.
Ricky Neil Henry, 32, of Lomansville, Kentucky; was arrested on October 18, 2019, at 3:26 A.M., by trooper Shane Copley,of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with:
• POSSESS/VIEW MATTER PORTRAY SEXUAL PERFORMANCE BY MINOR.
Kevin G. Kali, 64, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on October 16, 2019, at 2:33 A.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department,&was charged with:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
Joey Lee Thomas, 33, of Blaine,Kentucky; was arrested on October 16, 2019, at 10:17 P.M.,by Constable Daniel Castle, of the Lawrence County Constable Office-District 3, and was charged with:
• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
Jody Price, 30, of Louisa, was arrested on October 18, 2019, at 1:57 A.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• ASSAULT, 2ND DEGREE.
Joann C. Kimble, 28, of Louisa, was arrested on October 18, 2019, at 2:03 A.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:
• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT,
• TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE,
• PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER II,
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE,2ND DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED,• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
Laquitta M. Jacobs, 33, of Campbellsville, Kentucky; self-surrendered and was taken into custody; on October 20, 2019, at 5:00 P.M.,by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea sentence:
- CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Mark C. Caudill, 32, of Louisa, was arrested on October 20, 2019, at 8:43 P.M.,by deputy Michael Housinger, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• SERVING TWO BENCH WARRANTS FOR COURT.

• NO REGISTRATION PLATES,
• FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD
• FAILURE OF OWNER TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE,

Dale Allen Fraley, 48, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested in Lawrence County and taken to the Carter County Detention Center on October 18, 2019, at 12:00 A.M., by Trooper Detective Charles Jones of the Kentucky State Police-Post 14-Ashland, Ky., and was charged with:
• EXECUTE WARRANT (FOR FEDERAL AGENCY).
William Cantrell, 34, of Louisa,Kentucky; was transported on October 18, 2019, at 12:34 P.M., by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was taken to Hardin County, Ky., and was placed with:
• STATE INTAKE.
