18 OF THOSE ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY.
SEPARATELY, FIVE LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES (1 IN BOYD COUNTY, 1 IN JOHNSON COUNTY, AND 3 IN MARTIN COUNTY). ALSO A FORT GAY, WEST VIRGINIA MAN WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY ALL THE WAY DOWN IN HANCOCK COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI!
PREVIOUSLY,FROM 12:01 A.M., AUGUST 26 THRU TO 11:59 P.M.,SEPTEMBER 7, (13 DAYS),THERE WAS AT LEAST 124 PEOPLE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, AND MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE. 23 OF THOSE ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. SEPARATELY, THREE LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES (1 IN CARTER COUNTY, AND 2 IN JOHNSON COUNTY). ALSO A FOURTH LAWRENCE COUNTY MAN WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN PIKE COUNTY, VIA A FEDERAL LEGAL ORDER FOR TO BE HOLD LATER PICKED UP & TRANSFERRED FOR CUSTODY BY U.S. MARSHALS.
THE NUMBER OF INMATES THAT WERE HOUSED AT THE BSRDC IN PAINTSVILLE AS OF 11:59 P.M., SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, WAS 186.

Arthur C. Hale, 41, of Lovely, Kentucky; was arrested on September 9, 2020, at 2:12 P.M., by Sheriff Chuck Jackson, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department,& was charged with, via four Martin County District Court bench warrants, three grand jury indictments in Martin County:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 2ND OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN)-[TWO SEPARATE COUNT CHARGES],
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL),

Rickey E. Stevens, 55, of Webbville, Kentucky; on September 10, 2020, at 5:00 P.M., in the Lawrence County Circuit Court, at the Lawrence County Judicial Center, by Sheriff Chuck Jackson, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

Jody Price, 31, of Louisa; was arrested on September 15,2020, at 7:26 P.M., by patrolman Teddy B. Newsome, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

Jason Maynard, 27, of Louisa; was arrested on September 15,2020, at 7:50 P.M., by patrolman Teddy B. Newsome, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

Polly Fields, 63, of Lomansville, Kentucky; was arrested on September 16, 2020, at 9:35 A.M., at the Lawrence County Judicial Center, by court security officer Melody Salyers, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a bench warrant:

Mark C. Caudill, 33, of Louisa, was arrested on September 16, 2020,at 11:30 A.M., at the Lawrence County Judicial Center,by court security officer Melody Salyers, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS; and was additionally charged with on site by deputy Julius Musick, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
According to the arrest citation, deputy Julius Musick stated that Mark Caudill came to the Lawrence County Judicial Center and was arrested because there was an indictment warrant out on him for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. While deputy jailer Brian Hall was searching Mark Caudill, Hall discovered a small baggy and a hypodermic needle in Mark Caudill’s pocket. When asked what was in the small baggy, Mark Caudill told deputy Julius Musick that it contained Heroin.
Brandi A Meade, 45,of Louisa, was arrested on September 16,2020, at 11:25 A.M., at the Lawrence County Judicial Center,by court security officer Melody Salyers, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

Not many new charges on here. Looks like mainly lucking into warrants. Need more proactive policing in Lawrence County.
