10 ARRESTED IN LAWRENCE COUNTY; 7 LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN OTHER KENTUCKY COUNTIES

IN ADDITION, THE NUMBERS OF INMATES BEING HOUSED AT ANY GIVEN TIME AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER HAS DROPPED JUST OVER 37% IN PAST 2 MONTHS; FROM AN ALL TIME HIGH 357 INMATES HELD AND LODGED IN EARLY JULY ALL WAY DOWN TO 225 SUNRISE FRIDAY MORNING SEPTEMBER 14. 225 IS THE EXACT DESIGNATED MAXIMUM NUMBER OF INMATES THE BSRDC WAS DESIGNED TO HOLD. AND 225 INMATES IS THE LOWEST NUMBER OF INMATES BEING HELD IN NEARLY 18 MONTHS
In the 9 day period from 5:00 P.M. September 7 thru to 4:18 P.M. September 15, there were at least 79 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 79, 10 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
For in comparison, the previous 8 day period from 3:00 P.M. August 29 thru to 5:00 P.M. September 7, there were at least 95 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 95, 16 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
Also, 7 Lawrence County residents were arrested in other Kentucky county jurisdictions ( 3 in Martin County, 2 in Johnson County, 1 in Boyd County, and 1 in Harlan County). That is compared to 2 in the arrest report last week.
The names and criminal charges of the latest 10 Lawrence County arrests, as well as the 7 Lawrence County residents were arrested in other Kentucky county jurisdictions, are the following:
Nathaniel M. Pack, 34, of Louisa, was arrested on September 9, at 4:24 P.M., by sergeant Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL),
• CRIMINAL TRESPASSING-3RD DEGREE,
• WANTON ENDANGERMENT-2ND DEGREE-POLICE OFFICER,
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3RD DEGREE.
James Stephen Burchette, 38, of Louisa, was arrested on September 10, 2018, at 4:24 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER/ $10,000,
• POSSESSION OF HANDGUN BY CONVICTED FELON.
Melissa D. Wolford, 31, of Louisa, was arrested on September 10, at 4:36 P.M., by sergeant Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• HINDERING PROSECUTION OR APPREHENSION-2ND DEGREE.
Michael A. Barnett, 25, of Crestline, Ohio; was arrested on September 10, 2018, at 8:01 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

Winfred S. Scott, 28, of Louisa, was taken into custody and booked on September 10, 2018, at 12:11 P.M., by an officer of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence:

James M. Kise, 50, of Louisa, was arrested on September 13, at 1:18 A.M., by sergeant Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• FLAGRANT NON SUPPORT.
Jay R. Church Jr., 26, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; was arrested on September 14, 2018, at 7:12 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

Chad T. Johnson, 38, of Falmouth, Kentucky; was taken into custody and booked on September 14, 2018, at 11:28 P.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence:

Justin A. Burks, 27, of Louisa, was arrested on September 15, at 4:18 P.M., by sergeant Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) MINOR INJURY,
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3RD DEGREE.

Kimberlynn Kimberly Maynard, 20, of Louisa, who was arrested on September 4, 2018, at 12:25 P.M., by court security officer Charlie Curnutte, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, on 5 bench warrants in Boyd County, and was later transferred on September 7, 2018, at 10:21 P.M., from the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville to the Boyd County Detention Center in Catlettsburg, and was charged with on the 5 Boyd County bench warrants:

• NO OPERATORS-MOPED LICENSE,

Stacy D. Childers, 38, of Louisa, was arrested in Martin County on September 9, 2018, at 4:32 P.M., by deputy Chris Todd of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

Shane A. Endicott, 38, of Louisa, was arrested in Martin County on September 9, 2018, at 7:36 P.M., by deputy Billy Patrick of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

Vergina R. Johnson, 40, of Louisa, was arrested in Johnson County on September 11, 2018, at 8:00 P.M., by a deputy of the Johnson County SHERIFF Department, and was charged with:
