WHILE ARRESTS NUMBERS IN BIG SANDY REGION GO DOWN BY NEARLY A THIRD FROM PREVIOUS WEEK, ARRESTS NUMBERS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY REMAIN HIGH, NEARLY MATCHING LAST WEEK’S TALLY, THUS MAKING UP LARGER PERCENTAGE TALLY FOR ARRESTS IN THE AREA THIS WEEK.

EIGHT OF THE 19 ARRESTS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY THIS PAST WEEK WERE FOR EITHER ALCOHOL/DRUG PUBLIC INTOXICATION, OR FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE.

In the past over 7 & 1/4 day period of 3:15 P.M. May 29, 2019 thru to 12:41 A.M. June 7, 2019; there were at least 71 individuals who were arrested and were lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 71, 19 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.

Another 3 Lawrence County residents were arrested in neighboring and other Ky. counties ( 2 in Boyd County, and 1 in Greenup County, Ky.)

That is in comparison to the previous over 9 day period of 4:15 P.M. May 20, 2019 thru to 3:15 P.M. May 29, 2019; there were at least 103 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 103, 21 of those arrested were from Lawrence County. 

There were 243 inmates lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center as of 12:00 P.M., Friday,June,7. The maximum designated number of inmates the BSRDC was built to hold is 225.

The names and criminal charges of the latest 21 Lawrence County arrests, as well as the 4 Lawrence County residents who were arrested in other Ky. counties jurisdictions, are the following:

Timothy S. Keaton, 32, of Grayson, Kentucky; was arrested on May 29, 2019, at 11:20 P.M., by deputy Mason Keefer, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT (SUMMONS FOR COURT).

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

Bruce Bowen Jr., 36, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on May 29, 2019, at 11:20 P.M., by deputy Michael Housinger, and deputy Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment, and 3 bench warrants:

Larry J. Maynard, 45, of Louisa, self surrendered and was taken into custody and was booked on May 30, 2019, at 1:52 A.M., in the Lawrence County Court, by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, to serve a guilty jail sentence plea:

Deborah Murdock, 58, of Louisa, was arrested on May 30, 2019, at 11:44 P.M., by deputy Michael Housinger, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSE).

James F. Fraley, 33, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on May 31, 2019, at 5:29 A.M., by deputy Michael Housinger, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

Jason Travis Fitch, 35, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County, Ky., on June 5, 2019, at 1:23 P.M., by deputy Scott Crawford, of the Boyd County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

Carrie Jo Pittman, 40, of Louisa, was taken into custody in Greenup County, and was booked on June 6,2019, at 3:41 P.M., in the Greenup County Circuit Court, by the order of 20th Circuit Court Judge, Robert B. Conley, to serve a guilty jail sentence plea:
