FROM 12:01 A.M., JULY 30 THRU TO 11:59 P.M., AUGUST 9, (11 DAYS) THERE HAVE BEEN AT LEAST 97 PEOPLE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, & MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE.

10 OF THOSE ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY.

SEPARATELY, THREE LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES (2 IN MARTIN COUNTY, AND 1 IN ROCKCASTLE COUNTY).

PREVIOUSLY, FROM 12:01 A.M., JULY 18 THRU TO 11:59 P.M. JULY 29, (12 DAYS) THERE HAVE BEEN AT LEAST 88 PEOPLE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, & MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE. 17 OF THOSE ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY.

SEPARATELY, FOUR LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES (1 IN BOYD COUNTY, 2 IN MARTIN COUNTY, AND 1 IN JOHNSON COUNTY). ALSO, A GREENUP COUNTY RESIDENT WAS ARRESTED BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES THERE AND WAS EVENTUALLY WAS BROUGHT TO THE BSRDC IN PAINTSVILLE FOR A WARRANT OUT OF LAWRENCE COUNTY.

THE NUMBER OF INMATES THAT WERE HOUSED AT THE BSRDC IN PAINTSVILLE AS OF 7:00 A.M., MONDAY AUGUST 10, THERE WERE 180 INMATES.

Melissa D. Wolford, 33, of Louisa, was arrested on July 30, 2020, at 5:51 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 1 & 2),

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER

Reuben Ison, 39, of Louisa, was arrested on July 31, 2020, at 3:09 A.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/SUBSTANCE (189A.010(1E) – 2ND OFFENSE.

Sara G. Pennington, 34, of Louisa, was arrested on August 3, 2020, at 4:08 A.M., by deputy Derek Hill, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

James R. Duke, 43, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on August 7, 2020, at 2:23 A.M.,by deputy Dwayne Bowen,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:

• CARELESS DRIVING,

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – ( > OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE).

Denise Meade, 29, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on August 7,2020, at 2:34 A.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• FAILURE TO APPEAR.

Joseph R. Horn, 30, of Louisa, was arrested on August 7, 2020, at 2:40 A.M., by sergeant Steven Wilburn, of the Louisa Police Department, & was charged with:

• FUGITIVE FROM ANOTHER STATE – WARRANT REQUIRED,

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – ( > OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

John Michael May, 48, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on August 7, 2020, at 2:42 A.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – ( > OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE).

Sonya Fitzgerald, 31, of Louisa, was arrested on August 8, 2020, at 5:05 A.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

Kirsten J. Gibson, 21, of Whitesburg, Kentucky; was arrested on August 9, 2020, at 2:44 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• CRIMINAL TRESPASSING-3RD DEGREE,

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION AUTO – UNDER $500.

Lyndsey Aspden, 30, of Raceland, Kentucky; was arrested on August 9,2020,at 7:03 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSE),

• RESISTING ARREST.

Steven G. Horn, 37, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested in Martin County, on July 30, 2020, at 2:07 P.M.,by Sheriff John H. Kirk, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION – ALL OTHERS, • CRIMINAL TRESPASSING-2ND DEGREE, • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE.

Randall Hamm, 37, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested in Rockcastle County, on August 2, 2020, at 8:58 P.M.,by deputy Kirk Mays, of the Rockcastle County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• RECKLESS DRIVING,

• FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS,

• FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD,

• POSSESSION OF OPEN ALCOHOL BEVERAGE CONTAINER IN MOTOR VEHICLE PROHIBITED,

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 3RD OFFENSE.

Randall Hamm bond was set at $4000 full cash only, he posted it and has since been released.

Robert R. Whitt, 39, of Adams, Kentucky; was arrested in Martin County, on August 3, 2020, at 10:44 P.M.,by deputy David Adams, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
