FROM 1:00 A.M., JANUARY 14, 2022, THRU TO 11:59 P.M., JANUARY 31, 2022, (18 DAYS); AT LEAST 114 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, & MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, KY., IN JOHNSON COUNTY.
OUT OF THOSE 118 ARRESTS, 20 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY.
SEPARATELY, THE OUT COUNTY ARRESTS OF LAWRENCE RESIDENTS WERE PUT OUT AS A SEPARATE REPORT DUE TO THE UNUSUALLY HIGH AMOUNT IN THE PAST MONTH; HOWEVER A LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST SUBJECT IN JANUARY WAS LATER TRANSPORTED FROM THE BSRDC IN FEBRUARY AND ON DOWN TO THE BULLITT COUNTY, KY. DETENTION CENTER.
PREVIOUSLY; FROM 1:00 A.M., JANUARY 2, 2022, THRU TO 1:00 A.M., JANUARY 14, 2022, (13 DAYS); AT LEAST 71 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, & MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, KY., IN JOHNSON COUNTY. OUT OF THOSE 118 ARRESTS, 27 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. SEPARATELY, THREE (3) LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN ANOTHER COUNTY JURISDICTION (ONE (1) IN MARTIN COUNTY, & ONE (1) IN JOHNSON COUNTY, AND ONE (1) IN ROCKCASTLE COUNTY).

Fannie R. Chaffins, 32, of Kermit, West Virginia; was arrested on January 18, 2023, at 11:44 P.M., by deputy Joseph Osborne, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, & was charged with:

Ance M. Marcum, 36, of Crum, West Virginia; was taken into custody on January 18, 2023, at 11:44 P.M., by the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence, “weekender”:
