Good job Deputy Kirk. 19 out of 42 arrests. At least someone is working to keep Lawrence County safe.
It’s not a competition. There is more to being a good deputy than the number of arrests you get.
Lol….yes there is more to it but in order to do your job as a deputy, officer or sheriff for that matter you have to do your job (which means arresting people) and not just look the other way. Too much of that going on in Lawrence County now!!
I was asked by someone recently if meth was a big problem here in lawrence co as they were telling me how big the problem was where they lived, (ohio) and I directed them to look at the Levisa Lazer arrest reports on any given month.
Per capita it is said that Lawrence county is one of the worst in the state, and I believe it.
And it’s not just young adults, but its folks in their 40s,50s, even 60s.
Louisa used to be the epitome of small town america….a place where you want to raise your children. The people that helped make this a great town to live in are gone now from when I was young. I wonder what they would think if they saw this place now and what it has become. Every generation wishes that they could “go back” to a better time when they were younger, but I’m not so sure that those from this generation will be saying the same thing when they get older.
What has happened to our little town, and will it ever go back to being the place that many of us used to know and cherish? It’s hard for a community to rebound after being savaged by drugs, but I can still hope.
goood jod
