In the past 9 day period from 12:01 A.M. January 30,2020, thru to 11:59 A.M. February 7,2020, there were at least 76 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 76, 8 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
Two Lawrence County residents were taken into custody in other Kentucky jurisdictions (1 in Boyd County, and 1 in Martin County).
That is in comparison to the previous preceding past 7 day period from 12:01 A.M. January 23, 2020, thru to 11:59 A.M. January 29, 2020, there were at least 62 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 62, 9 of those arrested were from Lawrence County. Also, nine Lawrence County residents were taken into custody in other Kentucky jurisdictions (1 who was arrested in Lawrence County, and later was transferred to Boyd County, 1 in Martin County, 1 in Carter County, and 1 in Magoffin County).
The number of inmates that were lodged at the BSRDC in Paintsville as of 8:00 A.M. Saturday morning, February 8, 2020, was 235 . The maximum designated inmate capacity as built for the BSRDC facility is 225.
The names and criminal charges of those latest eight arrested in Lawrence County, along with the two Lawrence County residents arrested in other Kentucky counties, are the following:
Shannon R. Maxie, 41, of Louisa, was arrested on January 30, 2020, at 3:45 P.M., by Sheriff Chuck Jackson, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• FUGITIVE FROM ANOTHER STATE – WARRANT REQUIRED.
Nathaniel R. Lemaster, 26, of Louisa, was arrested on January 31, 2020, at 2:16 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department,& was charged with:
• PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE).
Timothy S. Harper, 18, of Louis ,was arrested on February 1,2020, at 11:27 A.M.,by patrolman officer Julius Musick,of the Louisa Police Department,&was charged with:
•THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION ALL OTHERS UNDER/$500,
• FAILURE TO APPEAR.
Brian A. Webb, 54, of Louisa, was taken into custody on February 1, 2020, at 11:37 A.M., by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence “weekender:
• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Andrea Lee Cassell, 42, of Louisa ,was arrested on February 1,2020, at 11:30 P.M., by trooper Bradley Couch, of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with:
• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/ INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE,
• CARELESS DRIVING,
• FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL,
• FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS,
• NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT
, • FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD.
Kayla D. Booth, 33, of Louisa, was arrested on February 3, 2020, at 5:45 P.M., by Constable Daniel Castle, of the Lawrence County Constable-District 3, and was charged with:
• FAILURE TO NOTIFY ADDRESS CHANGE TO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION,
• SERVING TWO SEPARATE BENCH WARRANTS FOR COURT.
Derek A. Crum, 39, of Louisa, was arrested on February 4 , 2020, at 11:42 A.M.,by court security officer Rodney Lycans, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE,
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS..
Edna Maria Lemaster, 45, of Louisa, was arrested on February 5, 2020, at 3:46 P.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with:
• FAILURE TO APPEAR,
• NON-PAYMENT OF COURT COSTS, FEES OR FINES.

Regina D. Cline, 44, of Lowmansville, Kentucky; was arrested in Martin County, on February 4, 2020, at 10:18 P.M.,by Sheriff John H. Kirk, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• SERVING TWO SEPARATE BENCH WARRANTS FOR COURT.
