LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST – DECEMBER 23-29, 2019
In the past 6 & 3/4 day period from 6:00 A.M. December 23, 2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. December 29, 2019, there were at least 52 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 52, 8 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
One Lawrence County resident was taken into custody in Johnson County.
The names and criminal charges of those latest eight arrested in Lawrence County,along with the one Lawrence County resident arrested in Johnson County, are the following:
Dustyn B. Bowman, 30, of Louisa, was arrested on December 24, 2019, at 12:33 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department,and was charged with:
• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER (2 SEPARATE COUNTS CHARGES),
• FAILURE TO APPEAR (3 SEPARATE COUNTS CHARGES).
James D. Moore, 36, of Louisa, was arrested on December 25, 2019, at 3:18 P.M., by Sheriff Chuck Jackson and deputy Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• BURGLARY, 2ND DEGREE.
Michelle C. Hay, 41, of Louisa, was arrested on December 26, 2019, at 5:45 P.M., by patrolman officer Teddie E. Newsome, of the Louisa Police Department,and was charged with:
• RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER/$10,000,
• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Taylor Mills Jr., 38, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on December 27, 2019, at 11:28 P.M., by deputy Michael Housinger, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – ( > OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),
• PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER I,
• POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY CONVICTED FELON
Kassandra Hamilton, 33, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on December 27, 2019, at 11:33 P.M., by deputy Michael Housinger, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).
Dwight Dale Blankenship, 46, of Louisa, was arrested on December 27, 2019, at 11:55 P.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with:
• MENACING,
• RESISTING ARREST
• TERRORISTIC THREATENING, 2ND DEGREE.
Crystal G. Wheeler, 42, of Louisa, was arrested on December 28, 2019, at 4:35 P.M., by chief deputy Mason Keefer, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:
• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT,
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFF – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE).
Betty Vanover, 24, of Louisa, was arrested on December 28, 2019, at 10:02 P.M., by patrolman officer Teddie E. Newsome, of the Louisa Police Department,and was charged with:
• FAILURE TO APPEAR.
Joshua Allen Jude, 30, of Louisa, was arrested on December 30, 2019, at 1:08 A.M., by deputy Michael Housinger, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
- Flagrant non support
• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
Christopher A. Skaggs, 42, of Lomansville, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County on December 27, 2019, at 7:53 P.M., by a Johnson County Constable, and was charged with:
• THEFT BY DECEPTION-INCLUDE COLD CHECKS UNDER/$500
