Lawrence Co. Youth Football League goes 4-0 on Saturday 

Westmoreland, W. Va. The Lawrence Co. Youth Football league is a combined 15-1 on the season after going 4-0 last Saturday at Vinson Middle school.

Lawrence Co. Youth Football League goes 4-0 on Saturday Westmoreland, W. Va. The Lawrence Co. Youth Football league is a combined 15-1 on the season after going 4-0 last Saturday at Vinson Middle school. 

Lawrence Co. 14 Vinson 6 ( D-Team ) 

In the first game of the day the Bulldogs improved to 3-1 on the year as Gentry Bowen scored both touchdowns in the win. 

Lawrence Co. 32 Vinson 14 ( C-Team ) 

In the second game of the day the Dawgs remained perfect with a 4-0 record. 

#5 Tyson Muncy drags down the Vinson ball carrier in C-Team action. 

Colton Bentley had two touchdowns on the day one for 65 yards and one for 50 yards, Tyson Muncy caught a screen pass from Bentley and raced 47 yards for a touchdown he also added a two point conversion,

Corey Keeton caught a 38 yard touchdown pass from Bentley. 

Korbhyn Dawson and Eli Block both had two point conversions. 

Lawrence Co. 54 Vinson 0 ( B-Team ) 

In the third game of the day the Bulldogs improved to 4-0 with the shutout of the Tigers. Nine different players found the end zone in the lopsided victory. 

#13 Brayson Muncy turns the corner in the B-Team game.

Tucker Muncy connected with Brayson Raines for a 65 yard touchdown. Lucas McDaniel recovered a fumble to set up a Muncy to Tucker Dixon on a 26 yard connection, Jaxon Chafin added the 2 point conversion. 

Muncy with a 1 yard touchdown run and Lucas Block added the two point conversion, Blaine Williams with a 10 yard touchdown pass to Lucas Block and Block added the two point conversion. 

On defense Block picked off a pass and then found Muncy for a 13 yard touchdown, Isaac Sturgell added the 2 point conversion.

Eli DeSairo got on the board with a 68 yard touchdown run and Braxton Young added the two point conversion. Block finshed the game with a 64 yard touchdown run on a busted play. McDaniel added the two point conversion. 

Lawrence 22 Highlands 14 

On Thursday the Dawgs hosted the team from Johnson Co. and got the hard fought win. 

Braxton Young scored on a 5 yard reverse and Jason West added the two point conversion, On defense Cutter Parsley with a big interception setting up a Young 48 yard touchdown run and Jason West found Griffin Hylton for the two point conversion. Hayden Nix scored from 3 yards out to set the final score. 

Lawrence Co.  30 Dunbar 6 ( A-Team ) 

In the final game of the day the Dawgs played a team from Charleston because Vinson doesn’t have a A-Team. 

#5 Levi Hensley with the nice run against Dunbar in the A-Team game Saturday.

Carson Evans had touchdown runs of 5 yards and 20 yards. 

Evans also connected with Levi Hensley on a 32 yard touchdown pass and Jace Napier for a 28 yard touchdown. 

Evans hit Napier and Keagan Muncy for two point conversions. 

Napier also had a two point conversion run. 

The Bulldogs will return home this Saturday to face Buffalo-Wayne at Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Stadium.
