Lawrence Co. Coach Josh Diamond

 COACH’S COMMENTS

“… I’m extremely proud of these kids from the Lawrence County Schools that got to represent Kentucky wrestling on the biggest stage in Iowa. Cory Keeton and Jason West earned their spot respectively as they both claimed the state title in their weight classes. They did everything right, representing their state, school and team. Gavin Diamond and Elijah Diamond placed at Regions and went as alternates with no expectations to compete at all. Other states had alternates as well and the event staff put together an alternate team so everyone got matches in. They were able to compete and grab some wins and represent their school and community as well.”

“… All 4 Lawrence County students were the first to compete and represent their community on the National Stage. Being elected to coach Team Kentucky shows that our program is heading in the right direction. Our staff, kids and parents along with our community are all on the same page to help propel our program to the next level.”

“… We appreciate everyone and every business that helped send these kids to Iowa. Without your help some would not have been able to go. To all them we want say Thank you!”
