COACH’S COMMENTS
“… We felt like this was our best game of the season to date, which is what we want going into November football. I felt we played sharp offensively, defensively, and in the kicking game.”
“… Knox Central is a quality football team with a very dynamic player in Partin. To hold him to 80 yards or so is a huge accomplishment by our defense. Coach Botkins and those kids continue to show up each week.”
“… Offensively we were clicking. Coach Frazier had a great plan of attack for their defensive scheme. I felt like we were much better in short yardage and goal line situations than we have been at any point in the year.”
“ By our team playing as well as they did tonight, it shows just how far we have come since July and provides hope and confidence going into next week’s game. We are excited to continue the journey with this team. They are a special group of young men.”
“ These players and coaches continue to show up and have the drive and desire to continue to get better each week and I believe that showed in tonight’s game. We feel like we are hitting our stride at the right time.”
“ Rockcastle County is a Very solid team who won their district over Bell County. They have a very explosive Quarterback who will present some challenges. Very excited to make the trip to Mount Vernon next week. Make no mistake about it, our kids are excited and hungry. If we can continue to prep and play like we did tonight, this team will have a great opportunity to make some noise in the playoffs. Next week, the goal is to go 1-0.”
