LENNIE COLLINS IS NEW PRESIDENT OF THE LAWRENCE CO PUBLIC LIBRARY…

The Lawrence County Public Library Board of Trustees met on September 9, 2024 at 12PM at the Lawrence County Public Library, 102 W. Main Street, Louisa, Kentucky 41230. LCPL Director Carlie Pelfrey was in attendance along with the Board of Trustees Lennie Collins, Kim Burchett, Susie Chambers, Lynn Perry and Lindsay Smith.

KDLA JEFF GURNEE

Jeff Gurnee, from KDLA (Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives) was in attendance. He was at the meeting for support on any questions the trustees may have. He resides in Lexington, Kentucky.

AUGUST 12 & 21, 2024 MINUTES
The Minutes were approved with a Motion by Lynn Perry 2nd by Susie Chambers.

JULY 2024 FINANCIALS
The Financials were approved with a Motion by Kim Burchett 2nd by Lynn Perry.

TRUSTEE OFFICER ELECTED
President – Lennie Collins, Motion by Lynn Perry 2nd by Kim Burchett.
Vice President – Lindsay Smith, Motion by Lynn Perry 2nd by Kim Burchett.

Treasurer – Lynn Perry, Motion by Lindsay Smith 2nd by Lennie Collins.
Secretary – Susie Chambers, Motion by Lynn Perry 2nd by Kim Burchett.
Member – Kim Burchett, Motion by Susie Chambers 2nd by Lynn Perry.

BOARD UPDATE/ SFSP 2024 AUDIT UPDATE
SFSP (Summer Food Service Program) 2024 Audit Update Deanna Farris is the Administrator of the Summer Food Service Program and received stellar reviews for a Job Well Done. The reviews note that the library staff was passionate about the program and were ensuring the students receive quality food. It was refreshing to see such commitment to the program. They are doing an excellent job meeting the needs of the community. So again, Excellent performance by Deanna Farris and all the employees of the library.
