Charleston, S.C. — Lawrence Co. Girls will try to make it three in a row after starting the Carolina Invitational 2-0 with wins Thursday and Friday.

Lawrence Co. improved to 8-4 on the year with their second consecutive win in the Carolina Invitational.
Sophie Adkins hit 3 three pointers and poured in a game high 31 points to lead the Dawgs, Leandra Curnutte added 9 points, Madison Artrip tallied 5 points, Kaison Ward and Jada Patton netted 4 points each, Abby Nelson and Abby Maynard had 3 points each, Addison Bloomfield and Hallie Adkins chipped in with 2 points each.
Lawrence Co. hit 7 three pointers and went 6 of 14 from the free throw line.

The Dawgs opened up the Carolina Invitational with a victory as Sophie Adkins led the way with 22 points, Kaison Ward hit 3 three pointers and finished with 11 points, Jada Patton tallied 10 points, Leandra Curnutte added 8 points, Abby Maynard netted 5 points and Abby Nelson chipped in with 2 points.
The Bulldogs hit 6 three pointers and went 7 off 9 from the charity stripe.
The Dawgs will close out the Carolina Invitational with a game Saturday morning versus Tuscola ( NC ) at 9:00.
